So sorry this one has been a while in the makings...I had to ponder over this entry for a fair while and also sift through drawers of make up to find specific products that were previously resigned to the abyss....
First off I don't have an awful lot of Benefit products and this is mostly down to the price. I just find the odd £20 for one item a bit too much, especially if the said item turns out to be pants!
The one good thing is that Benefit is available at Boots (UK drugstore to my overseas readers!Hello!) and Boots = Boots club card points which means points for free make up! It also means that Boots often does good deals like 3 for 2 or 500 Boots points if you buy 2 items...you get the picture!
So on to the favourite products!
First and foremost and a staple to my daily routine is Benetint. I love this product SO SO much. I love that it stains my cheeks a wonderful natural hue which lasts all day and I love the tint it gives my lips. This is definitely one item from Benefit worth purchasing as a little goes a long way..plus is smells DEVINE!
Secondly...I heart the hihglighter Moonbeam. I actually had a scare as I thought they were discontinuing it but I've checked the website and it's still there *phew*. I just love the apricot colour, it's a subtle shimmer and just perks my face up so perfect for the mornings! I've had many compliments when wearing this so it's got to be doing something right for me!
Other items on my list would have to be highbeam. Not as HUGE a fan of this as moonbeam as it's quite an obvious highlighter but again, great for early starts so you don't look so dull as dishwater.
I also am surprisingly fond of lip plump as a primer. It seems to work well with my lipsticks and fills in all the fine lines and gives me a good smooth base to work on.
Lastly, I do quite like BadGal eyeliner. This sits residence in my on-the-go make up bag. It's just super smooth is what!
*rubs hands together with glee* Now let's get on to the ROTTEN APPLES!
See, I love the Benefit catalogue they release every so often. I love to read the little entries about each product and what wonders it can do for me. I'm a sucker for PR blurb which is probably why I fell victim to the following:
Eye Bright - One sentence, it's just not worth the money honey. You can get something for a fraction of the price from Barry M. *nods*F..Y..EYE! - This was terrible. It was the second to worst primer I have ever used and again a complete and utter rip off. I still got creases RAWR!
I've also indulged in products such as the following...which...nice idea if only the packaging wasn't so brittle..ARGH!!

ReplyDeleteSorry, too many spelling errors on the post b4!!
ReplyDeleteI really like highbeam, but wish I had got moonbeam instead. I actually really like the eye bright pencil, but I see what you mean about being able to get another brands cheaper. I've actually lost mine at the minute and if I don't find it I'm not gonna buy another just cos of the price. xx
I just now realized that I didn't comment on this post. Like, it just hit me as I was going about my daily business. So I apologize! And thank you for posting this, my very curious mind is happy to see what benefit products you have!
ReplyDeletedid you get the high beam and lip plump mini tubes out of the justine case set? and what is that last set with the black packaging called? i've never seen it.
i've said this so many times, but i can't believe i shelled out $18 for eyebright. rar.
i have very mixed feelings about dr. feelgood. it works, but it doesn't. it's very finicky. i just dab some on my nose in a pinch when I don't feel like using powder. But it really holds on to flaky spots, and that's not a pretty look.
i'm having horrible de ja vu, did i not post a comment on this earlier? oh well. thank you!
Thanks for the comment..the photo in question was some make up palette kit thing they did a few years ago now...it's like a hand mirror and you flip bits to get to the blusher and face powder. The lipstick is in the handle..all very 007!
